Rainbow Six Siege X revealed the competitive schedule for 2026. Tournaments happen throughout the year, with a few big events as exciting milestones.
This year, we transitioned to a revamped version of the game, Siege X, and there were some experiments in the esports dimension. Heading to 2026, R6 brings some more adjustments to the esports scene — and the community greets them positively.
R6 Siege X esports calendar in 2026: Roadmap revealed
While still without specific details, like locations for the Majors, the Rainbow Six Siege X esports roadmap for 2026 clearly highlights what we should expect from the competitive year.
The R6 Siege X esports roadmap 2026 is shown in the image below.
Two Majors and the R6 Esports World Cup 2026
The first thing the R6 community has noticed is the return of two Majors per year. In 2025, we have the RE:LO:AD invitational, with a very unusual format. It feels like people prefer a more traditional approach to the seasonal Majors.
- The first R6 esports Major of 2026 is planned for May.
- The second Major happens in November.
The only proper Major of 2025 was the event in Munich. It was a great show, where, quite unexpectedly, M80 from North America claimed the trophy.
The Esports World Cup 2026 hosts a big mid-season tournament for Rainbow Six Siege X.
- The R6 EWC 2026 happens in August.
Team Secret won the R6 Esports World Cup 2025, claiming $750,000 out of the impressive $2 million prize pool.
Six Invitational 2027 qualification
The esports roadmap for 2026 also reveals the qualifying basics for the Six Invitational 2027, the World Championship for R6 Siege X.
- Teams earn SI qualification points throughout the year. There is no info on direct spots for the Major winners.
- The R6 Esports World Cup 2026 features the only invite available in the yearly schedule: for the champions.
- The Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) matches for Six Invitational 2027 happen in December and January.
- The World Championship itself, Six Invitational 2027, takes place in February.
Consistent flow of competition
The esports season of 2025 ends with Six Invitational 2026. A great thing about this new roadmap is that it features regular tournaments right after the previous cycle ends.
- The Challenger series fires up the off-season period. It's a chance for lower-tier teams to make it to the top-most level of the official competition.
- Season Kickoff is a series of regional tournaments, with SI points and May Major qualification at stake.
- Regional Stages are more classic for R6 esports. They are back in June-July and September-October.
The regional events ended just recently, with finals across the main leagues. Right after that, Rainbow Six Siege X added special cosmetic bundles, and some are connected to the champions. Items for Spacestation Gaming and CAG Osaka are the latest in this series.
In addition to the esports calendar reveal, R6 should yet announce plans for the content seasons in 2026. The current one, Year 10 Season 4, introduced a remastered Operator, modernized maps, and useful training tools. The developers promised to fight cheaters and listen to the community's wishes, and we need to see how it works out.
