M80’s Six Invitational run is marred by controversy. But they are still alive in the competition albeit in the lower bracket.

The Six Invitational 2025 is the biggest esports competition for Rainbow Six Siege. With a massive multi-million dollar prize pool, this event is the pinnacle of R6 esports. However, after an altercation between DarkZero and M80, Ubisoft has taken disciplinary action against some of the M80 members.

Ubisoft ejects M80 manager and coach from Six Invitational

Ubisoft has ejected M80 coach and the team manager for breaking rules during the Six Invitational 2025. The decision was due to the coach constantly talking to the players even when they were not allowed to. According to several talents, it was a decision taken after numerous warnings.

Budega kept talking to players and such despite warnings - so they gave a round to DZ after the third offense and took his headset? Then approached Nafe after the game and had to be physically stopped by admins.

Pengu also mentioned that many coaches have been talking to players throughout the event and it wasn’t a big surprise to see one coach get into trouble.

Following an altercation during the DarkZero and M80 match, M80 coach Matheus "Budega" Figueriedo, and M80 team manager Igor Vivas, are ejected from the Six Invitational 2025 effective immediately. In a video posted by the DarkZero social media account, Budega can be seen confronting the opponents’ players.

You can help your team out but you can’t give them advice outside of the timeouts. I’m all for competitive integrity, but obviously he has crossed a line - it’s the admin's decision that he’s crossed a line. It’s never nice to get a free round, if that makes sense. You want to win fair and square but if there’s a line crossed, there’s a line crossed. So we have no control over that. That was an admin decision, so I don’t know what else to say.

M80's CEO also put out a post saying he was disappointed with how the organization was represented on the international stage.

The match was the first in the Upper Bracket Round 1 between M80 and DarkZero. The series saw the two teams battle it out on Skyscraper, Clubhouse, and Bank. While M80 took Skyscraper with a dominant 7-1, the next two maps went to DarkZero who also secured the series win.

This victory set DarkZero up for a match against FURIA in the Quarterfinals - a match they’d lose 0-2 and fall down to the lower bracket.
