Brava: Rainbow Six Siege’s new operator that can hack and control enemy devices

Brava is the latest operator to join Rainbow Six Siege.

Ubisoft announced its latest operator for Rainbow Six Siege: Brava. Brava is a 3-speed 1 health attacker from Brazil and its drone can hack enemy devices. Brava's introduction in Rainbow Six Siege will completely alter the gameplay and open up several new possibilities. Here's all we know about Brava.

Rainbow Six Siege has been around for some time and regularly receives updates and new operators. The focus on tactical gameplay makes Rainbow Six siege stand out in the ocean of FPS titles currently on the market. Continuing with their focus on creating a unique brand identity for Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft announced a bunch of chances during the Six Invitational 2023.

Who is Brava in Rainbow Six Siege?

The Brazilian operator will be joining Viperstrike which is led by Hibana. Made by experts who have every tool at their disposal, Brava will be one of the most sought-after operators in Rainbow Six Siege post-launch.

The Viperstrike squad will also be joined by RedHammer. Redhammer is led by Thermite and was announced a few days before Brava’s announcement.

Brava operates the Kludge drone, quite similar to Twitch’s drones. You can move around, drive as well as shoot. But what sets the Kludge drone apart is it's capability of hacking defender electronics. After hacking the opponent’s electronics, Brava can then destroy them from a distance. Alternatively, and possibly one that is more useful, Brava can choose to change their allegiance.

What does changing their allegiance mean? Simply put, Brave opens up new possibilities in attack and defense, wherein the opponent might have to deal with their own traps or turrets. The level of creativity and combinations with Brava in the mix is bound to change Rainbow Six siege forever.

Brava’s Operator design

Brava values her family and heritage. Her design includes a capybara patch around her strap that represents her hometown. Brava’s focus on her roots, along with her natural leadership abilities make her appealing to her followers. This is in stark contrast to Capitao - her cousin - who has a very strict leadership style.

The designers focused on having a minimalistic gear setup but at the same time with a look that makes her look combat-ready.

When we started designing Brava’s device, we were looking for an equipment that could disrupt electronics from a distance. So we dug into the fantasy of anti-drone rifles.

Jeremie Carvin, Realization Design Director, Ubisoft.

The anti-drone rifles were the inspiration for Ubisoft’s design. They further modified it by mounting it on a turret and then placing it on four-wheeler vehicles to create something that resembles a tank.

The KKludge drone will provide players with an immersive experience based on a brand-new dedicated interface while in use. Taking note of the placement of canons, the designers have ensured the screen remains free of any design models. The canon is to the right side, providing a seamless view experience for Rainbow Six Siege players.

The game will also have a new overlay that will alert players when a hack is successfully performed.

What makes Brava’s drone unique?

  • Explore maps and get vision
  • Hack enemy gadgets
  • Gather intel

Brava’s drone is capable of hacking defender gadgets. You can essentially hack a device to operate for your team. To do this, all you need to do is aim with the Kludge drone and shoot at the device. Once you shoot, and if the device is successfully hacked, you will get a notification on your screen.
