PUBG MOBILE version 3.5 update: Icy map, weapons, mounts, and more

PUBG MOBILE has launched its latest update — version 3.5: Icemire Frontier — playable until January 7, 2025. The update introduces winter-themed features, including an icy battleground, fearsome dragon, mammoth and sabertooth tiger mounts, and Viking-like weapons.

A new themed mode, Icemire Frontier, will be available in Erangel, Livik, and Vikendi maps in both Unranked and Ranked mode. Check out below on what's new on PUBG MOBILE version 3.5 updates.

Frostheim consists of a Chieftain's Stronghold and Beast-Taming Grounds, each filled with supplies, plus an Ice Crystal Crate as a final reward.

Ice crystals seal the Frostborne Dragon at the very center. Sometime after the match begins, the dragon's seal will break and the snow will crumble. A sanctuary will be revealed below, where players can battle for the Ice Crystal Crate. Everyone who enters Frostheim gains an additional respawn chance which is lost on leaving the area.

Multiple Magic Crystal Mines can be found throughout the map. They consist of a settlement on the surface with an underground mine, which players can enter via a towering entrance to seek treasure. Shatter the icicles at the center of the altar near the mine's entrance to obtain supplies.

The Dragon's Lair is only available in Erangel during the PUBG MOBILE version 3.5 update. Obtain keys from the map to unlock an Ice Portal and enter the Dragon's Lair to challenge the Frostborne Dragon.

Frostborne Dragon has ground and airborne forms capable of many attacks. Defeat the Frostborne Dragon in the Dragon's Lair to get supplies.

Up to 3 teams can enter the Dragon's Lair at a time. Getting defeated in the Dragon's Lair will not count as an elimination.

Hit the crystal in the middle to start the challenge. Hit all the crystals within the time limit to receive a high-quality crate reward.

Mammoth is a 4-seater vehicle, exclusively introduced during the version 3.5 update. Players in the 3 passenger seats can fire from it. Hitting the weak points in its legs will weaken them until the mammoth collapses and can no longer move. It will get up again on its own after 3 seconds.

Sabertooth Tiger is a 2-seater vehicle, exclusively introduced during the PUBG MOBILE version 3.5 update. Both the driver and passenger can use firearms while riding it. The sabertooth tiger will move forward independently when the driver is firing.

Frostsoul Spear is a consumable item exclusive to the PUBG MOBILE version 3.5. This weapon can be found in Frostfire altars. Use it to jump up high and select where to throw the spear. The spear will create a slowing field where it lands. After a short delay, you will teleport to the spear and generate a ring of ice around it.

Frostsoul Warhammer is a melee weapon that creates defensive ice walls. Charge it to create larger ice walls. This weapon can be found in Frostfire altars.

Use it to summon an Ice Portal to the Dragon's Lair after the Frostborne Dragon breaks free from Frostheim.

Dragon Blood is a high-quality potion. Use it to instantly recover Energy and Health.

Additionally in PUBG MOBILE version 3.5, winter-themed features are also available outside the Battle Royale mode, which includes Metro Royale, World of Wonder, and Home mode.

The update also welcomes the new Ranked Season, Cycle 7 Season 21, which will feature brand new rewards: C7S21 Glasses, C7S21 Set, C7S21 Mask, C7S21 Cover, C7S21 - MG3, and C7S21 Parachute. Each reward can be claimed for free depends on your rank, so make sure to climb as high as you can!
