Get ready for three brand new Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
Paldean Tauros will be debuting into Pokémon GO during the Stunning Styles event. There will also be the return of Marshadow, some boosted shiny odds and the next step on the Might and Mastery seasonal Special Research.
We've gathered all the event details you need to know so you can get prepared for the Stunning Styles event.
Pokémon GO Stunning Styles event
The Stunning Styles event runs in Pokémon GO from Thursday, April 3, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, April 7, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
A Striking Shadow brings Marshadow back to Pokémon GO
The Special Research story A Striking Shadow will be available to all Trainers for free starting April 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Trainers who complete the Special Research will earn an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow.
However, if you already accessed the Marshadow Special Research during Pokémon GO Fest 2024, you will not get a second Marshadow encounter. You can still get the A Striking Shadow Research, but this will award you Marshadow Candy instead.
This is the same thing that happened when Diancie was re-released following Pokémon GO Fest 2023 too. Despite a lot of feedback against it, Niantic clearly want to limit Mythical Pokémon to one per Trainer.

Event bonuses
The following bonuses will apply during the event:
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny West Sea Shellos and Shiny East Sea Shellos in their respective regions.
All forms of Paldean Tauros to debut in Pokémon GO
The Paldean version of Tauros will be debuting in Pokémon GO with this event. This will be a great chance for Trainers to get Tauros in their PokéDex, with the Kanto form being limited to just North America.
There are three forms of Paldean Tauros. Each of these will be limited to a specific region.
Paldean Tauros regions in Pokémon GO
- Combat Breed Paldean Tauros (Iberian Peninsula)
- Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros (Eastern Hemisphere)
- Aqua Breed Paldean Tauros (Western Hemisphere)

Unfortunately, Paldean Tauros will not be spawning in the wild during this Pokémon GO event. The wild spawns will be as follows:
- Castform
- Sunny Form Castform
- Rainy Form Castform
- Snowy Form Castform
- Plant Cloak Burmy
- Sandy Cloak Burmy
- Trash Cloak Burmy
All of these Pokémon can be shiny.
Paldean Tauros to feature in Pokémon GO Raids
Instead of in the wild, Paldean Tauros will appear in Raids during the event. The Raid rotation will be as follows:
One Star Raids:
- West Sea Shellos (Western Hemisphere)
- East Sea Shellos (Eastern Hemisphere)
- Espurr
- Rockruff
Three Star Raids:
- Combat Breed Paldean Tauros (Iberian Peninsula)

Paldean Tauros cannot yet be shiny in Pokémon GO, so don't waste too many Raid Passes on this event. You will need to battle in Remote Raids if you want to collect all three forms.
