The Festival of Colors returns to Pokémon GO, and brings with it Shiny Bruxish for the first time.
The Festival of Colors is back in Pokémon GO, and brings a brand new shiny to the game. There are a range of exciting wild spawns, as well as a special extra event bonus for trainers based in India.
We've got you covered with all the event details you need to know.
Pokémon GO Festival of Colors 2025
The Festival of Colors runs from Thursday, March 13, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, March 17, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
During this period, there will be a special surprise around PokéStops that you can see when you get close to them.
Event bonuses
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Bruxish will appear more frequently when Trainers use Incense.
- Take a few snapshots each day of the event for a surprise!
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for two hours.
The surprise will be with Smeargle, which during the event can be shiny. Shiny Smeargle will not appear after the event, but it might return in future events.

The following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild during the Festival of Colors in Pokémon GO.

- Red Flower Flabébé
- Blue Flower Flabébé
- Yellow Flower Flabébé
- Bruxish
- White Flower Flabébé
- Orange Flower Flabébé
Like normal, Flabébé will be limited per region. The three regional Flabébé will be as follows:
- Red Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
- Blue Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Asia-Pacific region
- Yellow Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Americas
Other Festival of Colors event details
As always, there will be event-themed Field Research tasks available. These will award you Stardust and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
In addition, there will be both a free and paid Timed Research avaliable during the Festival of Colors in Pokémon GO.
The free Timed Research will include the following rewards:
- One Incense
- Four Rare Candies
- Encounters with event-themed Pokémon
Then, if you pay the additional $2 you can access the Paid Timed Research, which features the following rewards:
- Two Lure Modules
- Four Incense
- 2,000 Stardust
- Encounters with Bruxish
