Pokémon TGC Pocket finally has a release date.

The Pokémon company has announces that Pokémon TGC Pocket will officially release on October 30. The mobile card collecting game was announced back in February on Pokémon day.

This mobile game will bring the ever-popular Pokémon Trading Card Game to both iOS and Android devices. The game will feature both digital versions of physical TGC cards and app exclusive cards, when it releases.

What is Pokémon TGC Pocket?

Pokémon TGC Pocket will be the latest take at a digital version of the Pokémon Card game. There is also currently Pokémon TGC live, which is also an online version of the card game.

TGC Pocket will function essentially the same as collecting the cards in person. The major benefit will be not needing a small storage unit to keep your ever growing card collection in check!

You'll be able to enjoy opening booster packs, collecting special cards just like you can in person. Things will go further though. There will be "immersive cards" introduced via Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. These will give players the experience of leaping into the world of the cards illustration.

Is Pokémon TGC Pocket free?

TGC Pocket will be a free mobile game. Everyone will also be able to open two Booster Packs for free every day. Naturally, there will also be options to buy booster packs and boxes to grow your collection even faster.

The app will also have the ability to battle other players. You'll be able to engage in quick battles that will feature streamlined rules from what you might've tried with the classic Pokémon TGC battle system.

If that sounds like something you'd love to get your hands on, you can now preregister for Pokémon TGC pocket on the Apple App Store or Google Play. It's also been announced that New Zealand will ne able to play the soft launch. However, there is no word on when that is beyond before October 30.
