Pokémon Presents 2025 – When it is and what to expect

We now have a confirmed date and time for 2025's Pokémon Presents. This much anticipated yearly occurrence is always the biggest day for updates, reveals and more for everything in the Pokémon world. From Pokémon Unite, Pokémon GO, Pokémon TGC and of course mainline Pokémon games there is always something for everyone during a Pokémon Presents.

So, when does the 2025 edition of Pokémon Presents take place. Additionally, what are some of the things to keep your eye out for during the presentation? We've got you covered with everything you need to know.

Pokémon Presents 2025 will once again take place on Pokémon Day, which is Feb. 27 2025. The Presents broadcast will start at 14:00 UTC/GMT. This will be broadcasted across socials, including YouTube and Twitch. Make sure to tune in!

At the moment, there are no details about what to expect during this years Presents, besides the usual swathe of unverified rumours and speculation. Here is what we can infer from things going on and already announced.

It would be amazing if Pokémon Presents didn't give us some information about Pokémon Legends ZA. There has been no information since the initial announcement. Despite this radio silence, the game is still set to release later this year. It is expected to release after the Switch 2, so the second half of 2025.

If new information doesn't come during this broadcast, it is hard to see when else The Pokémon Company would choose to reveal information about this game.

Don't expect full details about the game during Presents. But, we should get some information like new Mega Evolutions (already teased), the starter Pokémon and perhaps some more context around when the game is set would be likely information. There has been a lot of rumours about the potential starter Pokémon, so it is likely they will want to put those rumours to bed.

There has never been more interest in Pokémon Cards following the release of TGC Pocket and a huge spike in physical card sales. After Prismatic Evolutions and Journey Together sold out everywhere, we may get some details about the next Pokémon TGC set. This is called Destined Rivals and releases in May.

Additionally, there will likely be some news about TGC Pocket. This could be a new feature, or information about the next set to come to that game too.

There will also likely be some early information about the next season of Pokémon GO, which starts on March 4th - just a few days after the 2025 Pokémon Presents. Less likely, but also not ruled out, is some information about Pokémon GO Fest 2025. The locations and dates for the in-person event has been revealed, with more information promised later on.

On top of that, as is tradition, there will be a small event in Pokémon GO to celebrate Pokémon Day and Pokémon Presents. This will include a special Timed Research.

Every day there are almost non-stop "rumours" about Pokémon game remakes on social media. There is a steady, but slow churn of Pokémon games being remade. The most recent of these was a remake of Diamond and Pearl. These games got a mixed reception, however.

As a result, many are looking to Pokémon Black and White as the potential next remade game. These could well release on the Nintendo Switch 2. However, at the moment, there is nothing to suggest these are in the pipeline. Additionally, any announcement on more Pokémon games would take attention and focus away from any news about Legends ZA, which is the next Pokémon game to release.

So, while it is not impossible, if you are desperate for a remake of Black and White don't hold your breath. These games will surely come at some point in the future, but Pokémon Presents 2025 might not be when these are confirmed. We can hope though!

There will also no doubt be news about other Pokémon products like Pokémon Unite, Pokémon Sleep and more. There has been some left field announcements over previous years, so you never fully know what could be on the horizon.
