Pokémon Pokopia just dropped a crazy announcement revolving around its shared servers. Here is everything we know.
In a recent announcement, it was revealed that Pokémon Pokopia will have Minecraft-like servers. What does this mean, though?
Let’s break it down.
Pokémon Pokopia will have shared servers
While Pokémon Pokopia is nowhere near the same style as other Pokémon games, the upcoming sandbox-style Pokémon title has already excited gamers throughout the world. In fact, many are expecting it to be (possibly) the highest selling Pokémon game of the last decade.
And one recent announcement just ensured that theory.
Pokémon Pokopia will have shared servers, that are similar to Minecraft servers, which will allow players to join servers even when the host is online. This means that if you and your friends create a world together, but it is owned by just one of you guys, all of you will be able to join the world at any time even when the host is offline.
This feature heavily pushes the multiplayer aspect of Pokémon Pokopia, allowing players to still create and work on their own islands with friends even when their friends are not around.
As you probably know, this feature has been incredibly successful for Minecraft, so its addition to Pokémon Pokopia should be no different.
What is Pokémon Pokopia?
