The newest installment within the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Pokopia, just got an official release date.

If you have kept up with the Pokémon world recently, you would know that Nintendo has been preparing players for various games that stray outside of the typical Pokémon style. While Pokémon Legends: Z-A was a huge success, the franchise has also been exploring other styles for the universe, including the upcoming title, "Pokémon Pokopia," which now has an official release date.

Here is everything we know about Pokémon Pokopia, including a release date and more.

Pokémon Pokopia official release date

Pokémon Pokopia is currently set to release on March 5, 2026, for the Switch 2. Unfortunately, for those who only have the original Switch, Pokémon Pokopia will not be available for the older console. Nintendo is beginning to cycle out of making games for both consoles, providing only those who own the Switch 2 with games.

What is Pokémon Pokopia?

Are you a fan of Minecraft or other cozy-like games that let you create your own worlds and more? Well, Pokémon Pokopia is just that, giving Pokémon fans a chance to create their very own world revolving around the popular franchise.

The game is a life-simulator where players can create their very own paradise with Pokémon. Enjoy games like Animal Crossing? Well, the game takes on a similar approach to the popular life-simulator with similar graphics, too.

The game is perfect for those who want to sit back and develop their own world revolving around Pokémon.

These types of games typically do not have much of a story mode; however, there are various other aspects that make them enjoyable, including the freedom to create your own story and world.
