Mega Lucario Raid Day is coming to Pokémon GO.

Mega Lucario finally makes its Pokémon GO debut in the third Ultra Unlock event. The Mega Lucario Raid Day takes place on Saturday, July 27 between 11am and 5pm local time. This is three hours longer than usual Raid Days, which gives Trainers plenty of time to get a good IV Lucario and as much Mega Energy as they need.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of this Ultra Unlock Raid Day, and stay tuned for a full Mega Lucario Raid Guide.

Ultra Unlock: Mega Lucario Raid Day details

Mega Lucario will be in Mega Raids from 11am until 5pm local time. Raids should refresh every 30 minutes, on every Gym in the game.

Event Bonuses

  • Mega Lucario will appear more frequently in raids
  • Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Lucario
  • 1.5× more XP from Raid Battles
  • Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from in-person Raid Battles
  • The Remote Raid limit will be increased to 20 from Friday, July 26, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. PDT

To celebrate the debut of Mega Lucario, any Lucario caught from a Raid will have a special Fast Attack, Force Palm. Any existing Lucario you have will only be able to learn this move through an Elite Fast TM. The move will do 13 power in Trainer Battles, and 9 power in Gyms and raids. This is the first time any Pokémon has been able to learn Force Palm in Pokémon GO.

Anyone who buys the event ticket through the Web Store will get this Lucario Mask for free.

Mega Lucario Raid Day event ticket

As often is the case for a Pokémon GO Raid Day, there is a Raid Day ticket to grant extra passes and bonuses. The ticket will cost $5, and will have the following bonuses:

  • Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs
  • Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
  • One guaranteed Rare Candy XL when catching Lucario
  • 3× more XP from Raid Battles
  • 2× Stardust from Raid Battles

These bonuses stack with the event bonuses, and last until 10pm local time. The extra Raid Passes make this ticket good value for money if you plan to do a lot of Raids. 13 Raid Passes for the day should mean you don't need to spend a lot of Pokécoins on Passes to complete enough Mega Raids.
