Massive Pokémon Gen 10 leak surfaces, revealing a release date and more

It is Pokémon Month, and with the game’s 30th anniversary taking place on February 27, 2026, fans are expecting some big announcements. Recent leaks have suggested an announcement regarding the franchise’s Gen 10 games, which are currently called Pokémon Winds and Waves, and a brand-new Gen 10 leak has now given us quite a bit of information, including a release date and more.

For the past month, news about the next Pokémon Generation, Gen 10, has been surfacing as leaks, and many have been expecting the Pokémon Company to announce the games on Pokémon Day, which is February 27.

However, a new leak has surfaced on 4chan, and it is massive, giving fans all the information they could have hoped for, including a release date, new Pokémon count and more.

Here are all the leaks announced in a recent 4chan post surrounding Pokémon Gen 10.

One of the biggest leaks that has surfaced is a supposed release date for the Pokémon Gen 10 games. The leak suggests that the Pokémon Gen 10 games (Winds and Waves) will be released on November 20, 2026.

This release date follows suit with past Pokémon game releases, as main franchise games almost always release in October or November.

It was revealed that the game will have a new gimmick. What does this mean? Well, in the past, gimmicks added to games would include Mega Evolutions, Alolan styles and more. While we do not know a name for the new Gen 10 gimmick, we do know that it will supposedly allow players to revive fainted Pokémon.

This is all the information we know. How this gimmick will differ from using Revives is unknown.

The leak also revealed that 100 new Pokémon will be introduced in the Gen 10 games, which is similar to past games, as Scarlet and Violet introduced 120 new Pokémon and Sword and Shield introduced 96.

It would seem as if underwater exploration will be making a return in Gen 10, as we have not seen the feature in a Pokémon game since Gen 3, Ruby and Sapphire. This is a huge feature, however, and has been basically confirmed in past leaks, as we have already seen screenshots of the underwater areas.
