A double whammy for February 2025’s Community Day in Pokémon GO.
The next Pokémon GO Community Day will feature Karrablast and Shelmet. This will provide Pokémon GO Trainers a chance to grab a Shiny Karrablast and Shelmet as well as get an Escavalier and Accelgor with special featured moves.
Karrablast and Shelmet Community Day takes place Sunday, February 9 from 2 p.m until 5 p.m local time.
Karrablast and Shelmet Community Day is a very unique proposition in the game. We have never seen a Community Day with two separate featured Pokémon. That means you have a chance to get double the shiny Pokémon, and if you don't have either of these shinies yet then this is a really exciting prospect! So, this is a great chance to meet up with your friends and play some Pokémon GO.

Karrablast and Shelmet Community Day: Pokémon GO Tips and Tricks
This Karrablast and Shelmet Pokémon GO Community Day is primarily a great chance to get a Shiny of two different Pokémon.
You will want to have a single focus during this event. Catch, catch and catch. You can get a huge amount of XP from this event thanks to the 3x XP bonus, and of course the more Pokémon you encounter the more shiny Karrablast and Shelmet you will encounter too.
However, one thing you can make sure is that you have a Pokémon at Mega Level 3 that will boost candy and XP from catching Karrablast and Shelmet. Both of these Pokémon share a type, so the same Mega Pokémon will boost both.
Here are the Pokémon you can Mega Evolve to get extra Candy, Candy XL and XP for catching Karrablast and Shelmet:
- Kyogre
- Beedrill
- Pinsir
- Scizor
- Heracross
Don't forget some other easy tips:
- Don't catch Pokémon before the event starts. These Pokémon can turn into Karrblast or Shelmet.
- Spin as many Pokéstops as possible, to get event specific Field Research as well as extra resources.
- Don't activate Lures or Incense till the event starts to get the extra time.
- Have fun!
