Are you trying to get Eevee in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen? Here is how you can find the Pokémon and catch it.

Eevee has been a staple within the world of Pokémon since the franchise first debuted, due to its multipl evolutions. In fact, the franchise has continued to include more evolutions for the Pokémon throughout the years. But how can you get Eevee in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen?

Well, with the historical games now coming to the Nintendo Switch, pulling in quite a few new players, here is a guide on how to get Eevee in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.

How to get Eevee in Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen

One positive aspect to getting Eevee in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen is the fact that you do not have to catch the Pokémon. In fact, you literally just have to pick up a Poké Ball containing Eevee. I’m, not kidding. It is that easy.

So, where is this person you have to talk to? Head to Celadon City, where the fourth Gym is located, and venture to the top of the Celadon Mansion. There you will see a Poké Ball sitting by itself on a table. Pick up the Poké Ball to discover an Eevee inside of it.

And there, Eevee is now yours.

So, now that you have an Eevee, what do you do next? Well, it’s time to evolve the Pokémon.

All Eevee evolutions

While there are countless Eevee evolutions in Pokémon, it is important to remember that FireRed and LeafGreen only contain the first three Eevee evolutions:

  • Flareon
  • Vaporeon
  • Jolteon

So, which Eevee evolutions should you pick? Well, to really optimize your team, you should first look at the starter Pokémon you chose at the beginning of the game. Did you pick Charmander? Well, then you should probably not choose Flareon, unless you are planning a Fire-type only team.

Pick the evolution who’s type you do not yet have in the game. Also, plan ahead too, and figure out your team so you know if you already planned to get a Pokémon with that type later on.
