Get ready for a Snor-Max Battle Day in Pokémon GO.
The next Gigantamax Pokémon to come to Pokémon GO is Snorlax. Snorlax has one of the most iconic Gigantamax designs in all of Pokémon and has been a much requested Gigantamax release.
This debut, like all the other Gigantamax Pokémon we have, will come through a Max Battle Day. This will feature the usual three hours of Six Star Max Battles, so prepare to gather with as many Trainers as you can to take down Gigantamax Snorlax.
Here are all the event details you need to know.
Gigantamax Snorlax Pokémon GO Max Battle Day
The Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day will take place on Saturday, April 19 between the usual event hours of 2:00 p.m. 'till 5 p.m. local time.
During this time, Gigantamax Snorlax will be appearing across all Power Spots. Excitingly, this Pokémon can be shiny after your Max Battle!

Event bonuses
During the event hours the following bonuses will be active:
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600.
- All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles.
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently.
- 8× Max Particles from Power Spots.
- Two additional Special Trades.
The addition of extra Special Trades during Max Battle Days is very welcome. Take advantage of these to acquire any Dynamax or Gigantamax you need for your collections.
Then, there will be additional bonuses that start at 12:00 a.m. on April 19 and run until 5:00 p.m.
- 2× Max Particles from exploring.
- 1/4 adventuring distance to receive Max Particles.
Event Ticket and free Timed Research
Don't be too shocked, but there will be a Paid Event Ticket avaliable for this Pokémon GO Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day. It is priced at $5 and includes the following:
- 1 Max Mushroom
- 25,000 XP
- 2× XP from Max Battles
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 5,600
The increased collection limit probably means this is worth picking up if you plan to do multiple Max Battles and have a group willing to do the same.
There will also be a free Timed Research like we have seen before other debuts. This will award you candy, Max Particles and an encounter with Dynamax Machop, an excellent counter for Gigantamax Snorlax. Save your Max Particle rewards, as they do not count towards your collection limit on the day.
