Shiny Fuecoco is coming to Pokémon GO for the March Community Day.
The next Pokémon GO Community Day will feature Fuecoco. This will provide Pokémon GO Trainers a chance to grab a Shiny Fuecoco for the first time ever, and get a Skeledirge with exclusive move, Blast Burn.
Fuecoco Community Day takes place Saturday, March 8 from 2 p.m until 5 p.m local time.
Fuecoco Community Day will be a very popular event amongst Pokémon GO Trainers. This is the first time we have ever had Shiny Fuecoco avaliable. We are also getting the best possible bonuses for this Community Day, with a huge 3x Stardust on offer once more. So, this is a great chance to meet up with your friends and play some Pokémon GO.
Fuecoco Pokémon GO Community Day bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect for trainers during Fuecoco Community Day in Pokémon GO.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops during Fuecoco Community Day
- Take a few Snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- One additional special trade (for a maximum of 3)*
- Trades cost 50% less Stardust*
*These bonuses are active until 10pm local time.
There will also be a revamped $2 Research Ticket and special item-bundles in the Pokémon GO Store.
Featured Pokémon: Fuecoco
During the event times, Fuecoco will be appearing much more frequently in the wild. You'll also have a increased chance of catching a Shiny Fuecoco.
There will also be a featured move for evolving Fuecoco. Any Crocalor evolved into Skeledirge during Fuecoco Pokémon GO Community Day will learn Blast Burn, a Fire-type move. If you have any Skeledirge already, the only way they can learn this move is through an Elite TM.
Additionally, starting with the event and continuing afterwards, Skeledirge will be able to learn the Charged Attack Torch Song.

What is Skeledirge's best Pokémon GO moveset?
Fuecoco Community Day will add an attack for Skeledirge, Blast Burn. This move will give Skeledirge some more bite in Raids, but won't make a difference to PvP. Additionally, Skeledirge will be able to learn Flame Torch after this event.
The best moveset for Meowscarada is:
- Incincerate
- Blast Burn
- Flame Torch
Fuecoco Community Day: Pokémon GO Tips and Tricks
This Fuecoco Pokémon GO Community Day is primarily a great chance to get a Shiny of a new Pokémon.
You will want to have a single focus during this event. Catch, catch and catch. You can get a huge amount of Stardust from this event thanks to the 3x Stardust bonus, and of course the more Pokémon you encounter the more shiny Fuecoco you will encounter too. Don't forget to stack up the Field Research that can give you encounters with Special Background Fuecoco.
There is no XP bonus for this event. However, one thing you can make sure is that you have a Pokémon at Mega Level 3 that will boost candy and XP from catching Sprigatito. Here are the Pokémon you can Mega Evolve to get extra Candy, Candy XL and XP for catching Sprigatito:
- Houndoom
- Blaziken
- Groudon
Don't forget some other easy tips:
- Don't catch Pokémon before the event starts. These Pokémon can turn into Fuecoco.
- Spin as many Pokéstops as possible, to get event specific Field Research as well as extra resources.
- Don't activate Lures or Incense till the event starts to get the extra time.
- Have fun!
