Totally normal. Nothing unusual at all, except for some Dudunsparce and Ditto.
Dudunsparce is now available in Pokémon GO throughout the Completely Normal event, together with more Ditto disguises.
A pure Normal type, this Land Snake Pokémon can create long underground nests through its drill-like tail. Some gentle Dudunsparce will help any Pokémon who got lost inside their nest by putting the Pokémon on their backs and bringing them to the entrance.
Dudunsparce has two forms; Two-Segment Form and Three-Segment Form. The segments on a Dudunsprace are often determined by its genes. Three-Segment Form Dudunsparce possess larger and longer bodies than their Two-Segment counterparts.

Although this Pokémon will likely not even crack the top 10 of best Normal-type attackers in the game, players who want to keep their Pokédex updated should keep an eye out for Dudunsparce’s debut in Pokémon GO’s Completely Normal Event.
How to get Dudunsparce in Pokémon GO
Unlike the previous events like the Sunkissed Shores, the debut Pokémon in the Completely Normal event won’t be available through raids. Instead, players must capture its previous form, Dunsparce, and evolve it into a Dudunsparce using 50 Dudunsparce Candy.
Completely Normal event: What else to expect
Pokémon GO’s Completely Normal event will go from Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. to Sept. 27 at 8 p.m local time.
The event bonuses that participants will enjoy are the following:
- 2x Candy for capturing Pokémon
- 2x XP for evolving Pokémon
- Increased chance to find a Shiny Dunsparce
- Increased chance to get a Ditto encounter
Anyone who hasn't completed the Special Research tasks for Let’s GO, Meltan, and A Mythical Discovery (which involve catching a Ditto) can take advantage of the increased Ditto encounter while the Completely Normal event is active.
Try to catch as many wild spawns as you can! You’ll never know which one of them is a Ditto until you encounter one.

Tips during the Dudunsparce Debut and Completely Normal event in Pokémon GO
- Use as many Pinap berries as you can while catching Pokémon to maximize your candy-earning potential.
- Another way to get more Dunsparce Candy is by mega evolving Normal-type Pokémon. We only have four Normal types that can mega evolve in the game so far, and these are Pidgeot, Kangaskhan, Lopunny, and Audino.
- Catching Dunsparce during Partly Cloudy weather will allow you to catch some with higher CPs.
