Ved "Beelzeboy" Bamb made more than just winning the 2025 Pokémon World Championship. He made history as the first Indian player to win a title in esports, officially making India a Mobile World Champion nation. On Aug. 17, he defeated Leo "P4T0M4N" Marín in the Pokemón Go Grand Finals by 3-2 in Anaheim, California. Beelzeboy took home a $20,000 prize pool.
The match was incredibly intense. Beelzeboy came from the Lower Bracket and faced P4T0M4N for the second time. To win the championship, Beelzeboy needed to defeat the Spanish player twice: first to reset the bracket and then again to claim the title.
Beelzeboy relied on core Pokémon picks such as Lapras, Galarian Moltres, Shadow Steelix, and Shadow Annihilape. His calm demeanor and precise adjustments allowed him to make crucial plays, making the competition between the players even more thrilling to watch.

Beelzeboy is a 21-year-old Pokémon Go player from Nagpur, India. He started playing the game when it was launched in the country in 2016. Since then, he has participated in various tournaments. In 2024, he won the Pokémon India National Championship, competing against 200 of the best players from around the world.
In September of the same year, he joined LAGr Gaming, a North American esports organization. After success in titles such as Call of Duty and Street Fighter, the team decided to focus on competitive Pokémon Go. In the active roster, Beelzeboy is the only international player.
