Adventure week is back in Pokémon GO, to kick off August in style. This recurring event is one of the best times of the year to visit new places and explore while playing Pokémon GO. There are a range of bonuses around visiting new PokéStops and hatching Pokémon in the process.
Adventure Week runs from Friday, August 2 until Monday, August 12.
Here's everything that the 2024 edition of Adventure Week in Pokémon GO has in store.
Adventure Week Bonuses
- 2× XP for spinning PokéStops.
- 5× XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time.
- 2× XP for hatching Pokémon.
- Increased chance to encounter the following Shiny Pokémon: Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura.

Pokémon GO Adventure Week Field Research
During Adventure Week, the following Pokémon will be avaliable through Field Research tasks:

You'll also be able to get Mega Energy for Aerodactyl from Field Research tasks during Adventure Week.
Paid Timed Research
As is often the case in Pokémon GO, there will be the option for Trainers to pick up a Paid Timed Research Ticket. This will cost $2, and will award the following rewards:
- Two Incubators
- One Super Incubator
- Encounters with event-themed Pokémon
Don't forget that Timed Research expires. You'll need to complete all tasks before Adventure Week ends on August 12.
There will also be event themed Collection Challenges and Showcases for you to complete during Adventure Week in Pokémon GO.
