What we know about when trading will come to Pokémon TCG Pocket
If you go to the Social Hub in Pokemon TCG Pocket, you'll see the Trade button. It is grayed out and says "Coming Soon." We don't know when soon is, but some recent leaks indicate that soon may not be that far away.
At launch, three Booster Packs were made available as part of the Genetic Apex series. There will be additional expansions in the future. Many datamines, leakes, and rumors point towards new ones arriving in both December 2024 and January 2025.
One of those expansion periods is when many believe trading will come to Pokémon TCG Pocket. It is more than likely ready for release, and the developers just waited to let everyone build a solid collection before dishing out cards between each other.
And when it does come, don't expect it to be as straightforward as sending cards back and forth. There will probably be a stamina system like there is for pack openings and Wonder Picks. There will probably also be restrictions, meaning rare card trades require a rare card or equivalent bunch of cards in return.
Whenever trading arrives in Pokémon TCG Pocket, we'll update this and let you know it is live. Until then, stay tuned to esports.gg for more esports news and Pokémon coverage!
