Overwatch 2 Winston's Beach Volleyball game mode

This game mode involves two teams of three players. Each team has the goal of getting a volleyball to the other side of the net. When the volleyball hits the sand, the scoring team earns a point. The first team to earn 10 points claims victory.

How Winston's Beach Volleyball works

Players get to choose from a group of heroes when they enter this limited-time game mode. These include Winston himself, Ashe, Cassidy, Echo, Genji, Hanzo, Junkrat, Pharah, Soldier: 76, Sombra, Symmetra, Widowmaker, Baptiste, and Mercy. D.Va was removed from the game mode due to a bug that booted players out.

Each hero has abilities that can help win the match. Genji, for example, can use Swift Strike and move to a location faster. Meanwhile, Sombra can use her Translocation for teleportation and Stealth for faster movement.

After hero selection, the match begins with one team serving the volleyball. Whenever a team scores a point, everyone's position resets and the scoring team gets to serve the ball.

Every hero can also activate the event-specific ultimate for faster movement, higher jumps, and harder hits. If a player's ultimate is not ready, then they can use the green jump pads for greater height.
