The Toronto Ultra team is ready for the Esports World Cup
Toronto Defiant's Overwatch 2 team has finalized their roster for the Esports World Cup. Now under the banner of the Call of Duty Toronto Ultra team, the squad is ready for the massive upcoming Overwatch 2 competition. With the competition date only a month away, the new Toronto Ultra team is getting ready to dominate the competition.
What is the Esports World Cup
The Esports World Cup is arguably the biggest esports event of the year. A multi esports competition featuring games like Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Fortnite, League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Overwatch 2, and many more. The event has an insane $60,000,000 prize pool money among its 20 different esports at the event.
Specifically for Overwatch 2, there will be 16 teams that are the best of the best including of course Toronto Ultra. They will be competing in a round-robin group stage followed by a single elimination bracket to compete for the $400,000 prize of first place. The Overwatch 2 teams participating in the Esports World Cup are as follows:

Toronto Ultra is ready for the Overwatch 2 Esports World Cup
In an announcement earlier today, Toronto Defiant has joined the Toronto Ultra organization. Toronto Ultra had already cemented a qualification for the Overwatch 2 Esports World Cup. The Toronto Defiant team has been a favorite Overwatch 2 team within the NA region. Not to mention that they qualified for the EWC through the North American FACEIT League Season 1 by claiming the first seed.
Despite being named after the Canadian city, there aren't any Canadian players on the Toronto Ultra Overwatch 2 team. The team is comprised of:

- Ham "SOMEONE" Jeong-wan as Tank
