Be aggressive. Be be aggressive.
Overwatch 2 Season 2's mid-season hotfix brought around some big hero balances and players are starting to see which hero comps are strongest after the changes.
There were some tanks that were clearly favored at the start of Season 2 but there have been a few shakeups over the past few weeks. With just one tank per team, this role has become the leader of the squad and the deciding factor when it comes to playstyle.
These are the strongest team compositions you can expect to see for the rest of the season.
Hero comps to use in Overwatch 2 Season 2
Roadhog and Ana
Roadhog is a very oppressive tank in Season 2, an aggressive tank that can take massive damage while picking off squishy heroes on the opposing team with ease. Roadhog has become even stronger after Ana's buffs. She is able to heal faster and for more health, making Roadhog even tankier. This has allowed Roadhog mains to become even bolder, which in turn has made his teammates follow suit.
With Ana focused on Roadhog, add a Kiriko to keep Ana alive. This ensures that the team never loses a tank and can remain aggressive. Consider a Baston or Reaper to focus the enemy tank with their heavy-duty firepower. Any mobile DPS will do wonders in the remaining slot, able to dive in with the Roadhog when needed.
- Tank: Roadhog
- Support: Ana
- Support: Kiriko
- DPS: Baston or Reaper
- DPS: Ashe, Cassidy, Sojourn, Widowmaker
Doomfist and Tracer
Doomfist has been buffed into relevancy. In fact, the DPS-turned-tank has become a must-pick in the current meta since he can lead a powerful dive comp. Disrupt the enemy's backlines by focusing on support while DPS like Tracer comes in to wipe out whoever remains. A lot of Doomfist squads favor Kiriko and Lucio since they can add even more speed and mobility, but a talented Ana can also open up more DPS possibilities, like sharp-shooter Soldier: 76 or Cassidy.
- Tank: Doomfist
- Support: Kiriko
- Support: Lucio, Ana, or Mercy
- DPS: Tracer
- DPS: Reaper, Cassidy, or Soldier: 76

Junker Queen and Genji
Junker Queen is a bit of a controversial choice since she is still seen as a bit underwhelming, even after some recent buffs. Developers are still looking to make some changes to the violent leader, but that hasn't stopped high-level Overwatch 2 players from coming up with exciting hero comps that match her aggressive playstyle.
Junker Queen pairs well with Genji thanks to his stellar mobility. When you have a Junker Queen and Lucio on your team, it's almost impossible to stop a powered up Genji. Brigitte can boost the team's offensive and defensive attacks, making the squad even more oppressive with the right strategy.
- Tank: Junker Queen
- Support: Brigitte
- Support: Lucio
- DPS: Genji
- DPS: Sojourn
Orisa and Kiriko
Orisa has gone through a lot of ups and downs, but she's currently back to being a bit of a menace. With her multiple shielding abilities, Orisa is a formidable tank that isn't afraid to lead her team right into battle. To help her stay at full health and remain powerful, have a Kiriko on board. From here, pick DPS that can do massive damage while charging forward with Orisa. Orisa is like a more mobile Roadhog, making her quite the terror with the right team behind you.
- Tank: Orisa
- Support: Kiriko
- Support: Lucio, Ana, or Zenyatta
- DPS: Reaper, Soldier: 76, or Sojourn
- DPS: Widowmaker, Ashe, or Bastion
