Widowmaker, Reaper, and Sombra have left Talon after Vendetta’s takeover.

Blizzard Entertainment has released another comic featuring Vendetta. This time, it's "Vengeance Comes," which shows the aftermath of Vendetta's confrontation with Doomfist. This comic is also in the form of a video and read by Chiara Preziosi, who is Vendetta's voice actor.

Overwatch Vengeance Comes story has Vendetta lead Talon

Overwatch's new "Vengeance Comes" comic opens with Vendetta saying she's reclaimed her birthright. She's at a table with Talon members such as Moira, Maximilien, Mauga, and Domina. With Doomfist defeated, Vendetta says that Talon will no longer operate from the shadows. Vendetta then starts reviewing Talon's new alliances. She's eager to see how Domina's Vishkar shield technology performs in the Colosseo and beyond.

Moira brings up that Widowmaker, Reaper, and Sombra left over disagreements. Therefore, does Talon even have enough agents to infiltrate a Helix installation like Grand Mesa? Vendetta says that Maximilien is already securing new talent.

New alliances include Ashe and her Deadlock Rebels establishing a hold at Powder Keg Mine and providing cover for Talon. Vendetta wants Mauga to visit Junkertown and negotiate with Junker Queen.

Emre and Freja are part of it as well, with the latter saying that she's there as long as Maximilien covers her fee. Emre, meanwhile, reveals that a certain watchpoint was never fully decommissioned after Overwatch disbanded. The Helix guards there are on a strict rotation.

Talon works with Hashimoto clan

Vendetta then confirms an alliance with the Hashimoto clan in Tokyo and threatens to withdraw reinforcements if their bladesmith misses his quota. The Hashimoto's bladesmith is notably Kiriko's father Toshiro, who has a connection with upcoming support hero Mizuki. Mizuki is also one of Kiriko's Yokai members.

"He's currently on a mission in Kanezaka working with Kiriko and the Yokai as sort of an undercover agent," lead narrative designer Miranda Moyer revealed prior to this comic. "But this isn't actually the first time that he's interacted with somebody from Kiriko's family."

Moyer continued, "If you remember -- in one of our previous short stories, Toshiro, Kiriko's father was actually captured by the Hashimoto currently and have been for many, many years. So, in the future, we might be able to see a little bit of connection between Toshiro and Mizuki that helps inform a bit of his relationship with Kiriko."

Vendetta's Talon versus Overwatch begins

To Vendetta, Overwatch is the only thing left that stands in her way. Moira questions this, too, citing reports that the International Justice Commission (IJC) plans to disband Overwatch after Null Sector's retreat.

"Overwatch is no longer a memory," Vendetta replies. "They have reformed, and we must end them before they grow any stronger."

The comic ends with an explosion. Interestingly, this explosion and its association with Vendetta is reminiscent of the Ramattra and Zenyatta comic.

"I am not planning such a move, Max," Vendetta says. "I've already made it. There's a certain satisfaction that comes from being a conqueror no one believed in. I was cast into the shadows. Forgotten. Now... everyone will remember my name."
