How to unlock the Bound Demon mythic weapon for Reinhardt in Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 has introduced a brand-new mythic weapon that players can add to their collection. Players can either grind out Mythic Prisms to unlock the Reinhardt mythic weapon or acquire the new bundle featuring the item itself.

The Bound Demon weapon was announced at the start of the season. In terms of what it does, it's like any other mythic skin, with four upgradable levels and costing an entire Battle Pass' worth of Mythic Prisms for every customization. Despite the high price, the mythic weapon has essentially all the perks of a typical mythic skin. Each of the four levels of the Bound Demon hammer unlocks a new aesthetic option, culminating in quite the demonic kill effect at level 4.

Unlocking the Bound Demon mythic weapon can be both easy and hard at the same time. It's easy once you have enough Mythic Prisms. The difficulty comes from actually acquiring this in-game currency. To fully unlock the weapon with all of its effects costs a total of 80 Mythic Prisms. This is the total amount received after completing one season's paid Battle Pass. The option to purchase Mythic Prisms is also available, but there isn't specifically a bundle for 80 Mythic Prisms. Rather, you'll have to pick between three options.

Regardless, once you've acquired enough Mythic Prisms, the Bound Demon mythic weapon is available in the Mythic Shop. The weapon is currently the main featured item in that shop as well, so it's hard to miss. Another option is getting the newly-released Reinhardt Mythic Weapon Skin Bundle on for $39.99 USD, which is significantly more cost-effective since it also comes with 2,000 Overwatch Coins, 20 Battle Pass tier skips, and the mythic weapon itself.
