The four teams that made it through to the OWL June Joust tournament

The Overwatch League June Joust knockouts have come to an end. Here are the four teams that made it to the top. Which one do you support as the action kicks off on June 10?

Blizzard has revealed the matchups for the OWL June Joust tournament. After several weeks of qualifier matches, there are now four teams that have made it to the June Joust tournament.

New York Excelsior and Dallas Fuel made it out of the Western region. On the other side of the spectrum we have Atlanta Reign and Shanghai Dragons. The playoffs feature a double-elimination format.

Western Region - Dallas Fuel and Atlanta Reign

The western region knockout featured six teams. Dallas Fuel defeated Houston Outlaws 3-0 in the opening quarterfinals. The team went on to meet Los Angeles Gladiators in the semifinals. In what was a repeat of their May Melee matchup, Dallas Fuel won this series with a 3-1 score.

Atlanta Reign started with a similar 3-0 victory over the Boston Uprising. The team had a strong performance on Lijiang Tower with some exceptional performances by Seung-hyun "Ir1s" Kim. But one of the bigger shocks of the season was Atlanta’s 3-0 win over San Francisco Shock. The drubbing left Shock fans shocked with their team’s lacklustre performance. Se-hyun "Pelican" Oh, in particular, had an impressive performance in the match against Shock.

Eastern Region - NYXL and Shanghai Dragons

The eastern region saw New York Excelsior and Shanghai Dragons qualify for the tournament weekend. New York Excelsior’s 3-1 victory over the dominant Hangzhou Spark was definitely a huge surprise. The result was particularly surprising because the Spark were playing in a Homestead match. Hangzhou Spark was undefeated through the qualifiers and its 4-0 performance had kept many fans in awe.

Shanghai Dragons went 9-4 in the eastern qualifiers with its only loss coming to Hangzhou Spark. Shanghai Dragons took Seoul Dynasty to task with a 3-0 victory over the Korean OWL team. Lee “LeeJaeGon” Jae-gon’s Lucio was all over the Dynasty, booping players off the map and constantly being a menace.
