Here’s our full breakdown of Sierra's kit in Overwatch.
Sierra, also known as Hero 51 in Overwatch, arrives in Season 2 on April 14. Ahead of her release date, Blizzard Entertainment provided players with a closer look at her kit. Read on for the overview of Sierra’s abilities, ultimate, perks, passive, and more in Overwatch.

Overwatch Sierra abilities and ultimate
- Helix Rifle (Primary Weapon): An automatic assault weapon that shoots in a spiral pattern and gains accuracy with sustained fire.
- Tracking Shot (Ability): Mark an enemy. Helix Rifle shots automatically track marked enemies.
- Anchor Drone (Ability): Launch a drone. Reactivate it to launch towards it.
- Tremor Charge (Ability): Throw a charge that creates a shockwave on impact.
- Subrole: Recon (Passive): Damaging enemies below half health reveals them.
- Trailblazer (Ultimate): Deploy a drone that flies forward and drops explosives.
Sierra is a DPS hero with the Recon subrole in Overwatch. This means she specializes in dishing out damage and can track enemies down who are below 50% health. Her primary weapon is the Helix Rifle, which gains accuracy with sustained fire. In terms of Sierra’s abilities, they are Tracking Shot, Anchor Drone, and Tremor Charge. Meanwhile, her ultimate is Trailblazer. Activating this makes Sierra deploy a drone that drops explosives.
Overwatch Sierra perks and synergies
- Full Flight (Minor Perk): Increase Anchor Drone’s flight and grapple range by 25%.
- Tight Grip (Minor Perk): Helix Rifle’s bullet spread tightens 100% faster and widens 30% slower.
- Medi-Drone (Major Perk): Anchor Drones hold a small health pack that can heal Sierra.
- Locked In (Major Perk): Firing Tracking Shot increases Sierra’s attack speed by 20% for 2 seconds.
As for Hero 51’s perks, players can choose between Full Flight and Tight Grip at level 2. Her major perks are Medi-Drone and Locked In. Full Flight and Medi-Drone synergize well with her Anchor Drone ability and help with Sierra’s survival and mobility. Tight Grip, meanwhile, is a useful upgrade to her primary weapon. Locked In works well with her primary weapon with Tracking Shot activated as well.
