According to a report by Korean news website MTN, Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch franchise is getting its own mobile title. Here is what's known about the Overwatch mobile game so far.

According to the MTN report published on April 28, the mobile game will be a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title. The report also mentioned that domestic game companies are referring to it as "Overwatch 3."
The OWCavalry account on X, trusted by many community members, also highlighted this report. In a post, OWCavalry compared the mobile game to the likes of League of Legends: Wild Rift.
This isn't the first time an Overwatch mobile game has been reported on. Bloomberg writer Jason Schreier revealed that an Overwatch mobile game is in development in his book that got published in 2024.
In "The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment," Schreier revealed that Walter Kong led the Overwatch team and oversaw regular hero releases, content for Overwatch 2, and "new projects like a mobile version of the franchise."
According to the book's Amazon page, the content within it was based on interviews with more than 300 current and former Blizzard employees.

In terms of what an Overwatch 2 mobile MOBA game would look like, no information has been revealed at the time of publishing this article. Some players, such as mjHushpuppy, however, noted how a MOBA could be similar to Blizzard Entertainment's Heroes of the Storm title.
Heroes of the Storm is a MOBA that includes characters from the Overwatch franchise such as Hanzo, Genji, Zarya, and D.Va. It also features heroes from other franchises such as StarCraft, World of Warcraft, and Diablo.
