If you’re a fan of Overwatch lore, then the Vendetta trial is packed with new voice lines and interactions that reference it!
Overwatch 2 players can now duke it out as Vendetta! She's only available for a limited time before her official release on Dec. 9, which also marks the start of Overwatch 2 Season 20. Until then, read on for everything you need to know about the current Overwatch 2 Vendetta trial, including her abilities, story, interactions, and more.
Overwatch 2 Vendetta trial now live
Folks can now launch Overwatch 2 and select Vendetta as a playable hero. Although she cannot be played in Competitive yet, she is available in the Unranked game modes. Simply press the "Play" button, select the "Unranked" card, and choose between "Quick Play" or "6v6 Open Queue." Then, try to lock in as her as quickly as possible.
Overwatch 2 Vendetta voice lines
Vendetta is the daughter of former Talon leader Antonio Bartalotti, who was killed by commander Gabriel Reyes of Blackwatch during the Retribution mission. Blackwatch used to be Overwatch's covert ops division. The Blackwatch members in Vendetta's introduction cinematic and the Retribution mission included Gabriel Reyes, Cole Cassidy, Genji Shimada, and Moira O'Deorain as well. And after the fall of Overwatch, Gabriel Reyes became Reaper.
All of this lore and story makes Vendetta's hero interactions in Overwatch 2 quite interesting. For example, when we eliminated Vendetta as Cassidy, the former Blackwatch member sighed and said, "All these years, still cleaning up after Reyes."

- Reaper: "Guess failure runs in the family."
- Reaper: "End of the line."
- Cassidy: "All these years, still cleaning up after Reyes."
- D.Va: "Aw, what happened, mech slayer?"
In terms of other Vendetta voice lines and hero interactions, they include Reaper saying ones like "Guess failure runs in the family" and "End of the line." D.Va also has a unique elimination voice line that goes, "Aw, what happened, mech slayer?"

Overwatch 2 Vendetta abilities list
Before you jump into the fray as Vendetta to discover even more voice lines and interactions, it's a good idea to get acquainted with her kit. In Overwatch 2, Vendetta's weapon is the Palatine Fang, which also serves as her primary fire. Meanwhile, her secondary fire is Warding Stance and her passive is Onslaught. As for Vendetta's abilities, they are Whirlwind Dash, Soaring Slice, and Projected Edge.
As for her ultimate, it's the powerful Sundering Blade. Don't forget about her perks, either. You can choose from either Siphoning Strike or Relentless first. Then, later in a match, you can choose between Swift Vengeance and Raging Storm.
