This does not apply to previous Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle skins such as Lilith Moira.
Players can now purchase skins from the Overwatch 2 Ultimate Battle Pass and Starter Pack bundles individually.
Overwatch 2 Ultimate Battle Pass skins
Prior to the start of Overwatch 2 Season 8, players had to buy the entire seasonal Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle if they wanted certain skins. For example, back in Season 7, the legendary Diablo 4 Lilith Moira skin required players to get the whole bundle for $39.99 USD.
Some players were unhappy about this requirement. Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller later made a post that acknowledged this. In the post, he stated that the legendary skins in seasonal bundles will continue to be sold, but his team will include more ways to unlock the Overwatch 2's most popular skins.
"We do sell an Ultimate Battle Pass bundle every season with legendary skins in it and will continue to do so. However, the lesson that we’re taking away from this moment is to make sure that we provide more ways to acquire some of our most popular skins," Keller stated.
How to unlock Overwatch 2 Ultimate Battle Pass skins individually
In a post on Dec. 4, Keller announced that players who wish to just obtain certain skins from the Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle can now do so. It should be noted that this does not apply to previous Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle skins such as Lilith Moira.
"Also, we’ve heard your feedback about wanting to just purchase just the skins in our Ultimate Battle Pass and Starter Pack bundles, especially when the skin is for one of your favorite heroes, so we’re making those skins available for purchase separately for Overwatch Coins in the Hero Gallery," Keller stated.
As noted, to get Ultimate Battle Pass skins separately, players can visit the in-game Hero Gallery. Next, select a character and browse through their skins. Press the "Unlock" button followed by the "Yes" button to buy a skin using Overwatch Coins.
