Blizzard has revealed a new trailer for Overwatch 2 Season 12, showcasing a bunch of exciting content. Among the highlights is the introduction of a new Clash map called "Throne of Anubis." Read on for everything to know about the Overwatch 2 Throne of Anubis map!

Overwatch 2 Throne of Anubis map

Throne of Anubis is a map featured in the Clash game mode. Clash maps have dynamic spawn points and streamlined map routes. This mode also focuses on fast-paced gameplay across several capture points.

"Welcome to Clash, an adrenaline-pumping game mode that pits teams against each other in a relentless battle for dominance over multiple capture points," Blizzard stated.

Overwatch 2 Anubis lore

Throne of Anubis lets players return to ancient Egypt and check out a different side of the franchise's old Temple of Anubis map. According to Blizzard, players can also learn more about the AI that caused the Omnic Crisis.

"Return to ancient Egypt and discover a whole new side of Overwatch’s first map, Temple of Anubis, and discover the dangerous AI that caused the Omnic Crisis, sealed away in Throne of Anubis," Blizzard explained in an announcement.

The official announcement mentioned discovering new secrets of Shimada Castle as players check out the streets of Hanaoka as well. Hanaoka is also a Clash map in Overwatch 2. It's located near Hanamura.

Also arriving in Season 12 of Overwatch 2 is the Anubis Reaper mythic skin. This skin correlates nicely with the Throne of Anubis map and has different customization options.
