Overwatch 2 teases Zombie Baptiste skin

Blizzard has teased a new Baptiste skin in the latest Overwatch 2 short. Read on for a glimpse of what appears to be a Mummy or Zombie Baptiste skin plus what other skins are in store for the upcoming season.

In a video highlighting the Throne of Anubis Clash map in Overwatch 2, Blizzard teased a new skin for support hero Baptiste. This skin appeared at the 0:24 mark, accompanied by a voice over from Juno about not panicking.

The scene also showcased Baptiste's Zombie Walk emote, which launched a couple of years ago. If the Zombie Baptiste skin makes an appearance in Overwatch 2 Season 12, then this emote will complement it nicely.

In terms of confirmed Overwatch 2 Season 12 skins, they include shop skins for Mercy, Echo, Genji, D.Va, Pharah, Kiriko, and Soldier: 76. All of these skins can be seen in the Season 12: New Frontiers trailer.

As for the confirmed Battle Pass skins, they include Oni Ana, Bast Doomfist, Dorothy Ashe, Thoth Illari, and Captain Sigma. Players who get the Ultimate Battle Pass for Overwatch 2 Season 12 can also obtain the Heist D.Va and Aset Echo skins.

Meanwhile, the mythic skin of the season is Anubis Reaper. Overwatch 2 lead concept artist Morten Skaalvik, Reaper shared insights about this choice.

"I remember me and a couple of other people on our team had a meeting on who should get the mythic skin," Skaalvik said. "And we all just instantly agreed it needed to be Reaper. It was supposed to be a 30-minute meeting, but it ended up being just five. There's a lot of things that we need to factor in when we choose a hero for a mythic skin, but for Reaper, the Egyptian God of Death — we just all instantly knew it needed to be Reaper."
