Why is Luka Dončić collaborating with Overwatch 2?

Back in May 2024, Luka Dončić shared his achievement of reaching the Top 500 rank as a tank player in Overwatch 2. Even before that, back in December 2022, he shared a video mentioning Roadhog, Hanzo, and Cassidy.

In terms of the choice of Cassidy in the promotional artwork we've seen so far, that's likely a nod to the player's time with the Dallas Mavericks before his trade to the Los Angeles Lakers back in February 2025.
