Overwatch 2 Story Mission walkthrough: Rio de Janeiro guide

Overwatch 2 Invasion arrived with three PvE Story Missions. One of them takes place in Rio de Janeiro and features Lucio in the heat of battle. Read on for our Overwatch 2 Story Mission Rio de Janeiro guide and walkthrough!

To begin the Rio de Janeiro Overwatch PvE 2 Story Mission, press "Play" in the main menu and select "Missions." Next, click on Winston's computer and choose "Resistance Rio de Janeiro." Select a difficulty level and press the "Play Missioni" button. You can hold the spacebar to skip the cutscene. Choose a hero after you join a match.

Once you're in the Overwatch 2 Rio de Janeiro Story Mission, head outside by pressing the "F" key. Your team's first task is to take down Null Sector's forces in a club.

Next, leave through the club's garage doors and fight through the city. Watch out for the high ground and clear all of the warbots to proceed.

As you fight through the city, you'll encounter purple walls. To get through them, follow the purple lines that lead to a power source. Attack these power sources to move through each area. Don't wait too long between each attack because they regenerate health.

There are three of these walls you have to get through. Follow the purple lines or the orange indicator on the map to quickly find each power source.

Next, enter the beach area and clear Null Sector's forces so that Brigitte can safely land with her shuttle. Enter the shuttle so that Brigitte can take you to Null Sector's command ship.

Once you're in Null Sector's ship, clear the waves of warbots and follow the orange indicator to reach a place with digital screens. Activate the area by pressing the "F" key. Defeat the warbots there as well.

Head out of the room and fight your way through Null Sector's army. If one of your teammates gets eliminated, then revive them by moving near them and holding "F" on your keyboard.

Clear out the factory of warbots by making use of your hero's abilities and working with your teammates. Keep following the orange indicator to reach the ship's core. Once you're at the core, attack it to unlock a cutscene.

Next, attack the Colossal Charger and dodge its incoming beams. Whenever the Colossal Charger gains immunity, lure it to the ship's core. This takes down the warbot's forcefield and lets you deal damage to it again.

After hitting the Colossal Charger with the final blow, attack the ship's core again until it explodes.

A timer then appears on the screen. This is how much time you have left to escape the collapsing ship with your team! Follow the orange indicator to head out as quickly as possible. You can use your hero's abilities to defeat the low-health enemies as well.

Jump out of the ship to escape it and complete the Rio de Janeiro PvE Story Mission!
