Overwatch 2 story feature

Over the years, the Overwatch franchise has released numerous pieces of story and lore content through YouTube videos, comics, in-game events, and so on. Players who knew where to look could easily learn more about their favorite heroes. However, there’s now a central hub for all things story and lore within Overwatch 2 itself.

To access the Overwatch 2 story feature, simply launch the game and check out the main menu. Then, select the "Story" option to view the slew of content. If you're a fan of omnics, for example, then the latest on Ramattra and Zenyatta's story can be accessed in this timeline. What's happening in Overwatch 2's lore now?

A recent Overwatch 2 lore drop featured Sojourn talking about Null Sector's sudden retreat. The video went into the omnic subjugation devices that led to attacks in cities like Paris, Busan, and Rio. According to Sojourn, former Overwatch agents like Torbjorn are now working to safely remove those devices.

Interestingly, the lore drop also acknowledged the irony that Sojourn, who once testified to disband Overwatch, is now leading its efforts to rebuild and protect the world. For more context, in the Overwatch universe, the International Justice Commission. (IJC) and the United Nations (UN) passed the Petras Act, which made all Overwatch activities illegal. Sojourn's past testimony about her experiences with the organization helped that act pass.

"Will you order Overwatch to disband again if the IJC demands it?" a reporter asked in the lore drop.

"The Overwatch agents who responded to the Null Sector invasion did so out of a desire to do what was right when they were needed. I stepped into this role for the same reason," Sojourn responded. "When the IJC determines the world is safe, I won't be needed any longer. I'll heed the order knowing I've done my part."
