When is Overwatch 2 Season 5 getting released?
The new season of Overwatch 2 will release globally on June 13. This means the launch will occur at the same time for everyone. The exact time will depend on your location because of time zones. Typically, 11 a.m. PDT is when updates for the game go live.

Overwatch 2 Season 5 mythic skin and events
This season of the game will arrive alongside the Overwatch 2 Season 5 Battle Pass. Players will be able to unlock three stages of the mythic Adventurer Tracer skin at tiers 45, 65, and 80. Other fantasy-themed skins that go with Tracer include ones for Genji, Orisa, and Reinhardt.

Overwatch 2 nerfs Hanzo and Widowmaker
As for balance updates, there will be nerfs to Junkerqueen, Hanzo, and Widowmaker. Meanwhile, Lifeweaver will receive some buffs to his healing and damage output. Here’s the TL;DR of the recent director’s blog.

- Commanding Shout health received reduced from 200 to 150
- Ultimate cost increased by a small amount

- Slight nerf to his damage
- No longer able to one-shot heroes with 250 health

- Damage falloff changed from 70-100 meters to 40-60 meters
- Damage falloff scalar increased from 30%-50%
- Can still one-shot heroes with 200 health at 50 meters or less
- Lifeweaver
- Buffs to his healing and damage output
- A heal on Life Grip
- Slightly reduced hitbox
- Quality-of-life changes to Petal Platform
Overwatch Season 5 patch notes
Blizzard also confirmed that there will be changes to Mei and Cassidy. For Mei, her Endothermic Blaster will get an update. While her primary fire will still slow targets down, it will also amount to a slow effect for 1.5 seconds.
Next, Cassidy’s Magnetic Grenade will get a damage nerf. Additionally, it will apply an effect that slows and blocks movement abilities.
