Overwatch 2's spooky season may soon be over, but players can look forward to new content this winter. Hero 45, now known as Vendetta, will soon join the fray alongside the start of Season 20. Season 20 of Overwatch 2 will release on Dec. 9. Blizzard Entertainment confirmed this in the hero gameplay trailer featuring Vendetta. We can also infer this now by looking at our current Battle Pass.

Based on esports.gg's experience with major Overwatch 2 updates, Season 20 will likely release on Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. PT. Dec. 9 also falls on a Tuesday, which is typically the day of the week when updates arrive in the game. Below are more release dates and times. In terms of what to expect in Overwatch 2 Season 20, the Dec. 9 update will coincide with Vendetta's release date. Blizzard Entertainment confirmed this in the video description of the hero's gameplay trailer plus within the video itself.

Vendetta will be a DPS hero with Palatine Fang as her primary fire and Warding Stance as her secondary fire. Meanwhile, her abilities will be Soaring Slice, Whirlwind Dash, and Projected Edge. These will synergize well with her Onslaught passive. As for Vendetta's ultimate, it will be Sundering Blade. Her perks, meanwhile, will include Siphoning Strike, Relentless, Swift Vengeance, and Raging Storm.

In terms of upcoming skins, Cassidy will get the Divine Desperado mythic. Orisa, meanwhile, will receive the adorable Capsule Cannon Orisa weapon skin. The season will also see the return of Overwatch 2's Avatar collection featuring Katara Mei, Aang Zenyatta, Appa Orisa, Toph Venture, Zuko Genji, and Suki Kiriko. Other shops skins will include the Cozy Collection, Borealis Collectio, and Heist Collection.

The new Battle Pass will feature some more cosmetics as well. These will include three epic skins, some weapon charms, emotes, and more. According to Blizzard Entertainment, the Overwatch 2 Season 20 Battle Pass skins will include Yukizaru Genji, Celestial Venture, the Soldier: 76's Colder: 76 one, Frost Lich Reaper, Skadi Freja, Cold Front Tracer, Ice Crystal Symmetra, and Winter Guardian Illari. Players with the Ultimate Battle Pass will also get High Society Vendetta and Reindeer Tracer.
