Overwatch 2 Season 14 mid-season release date
The Overwatch 2 mid-season update is expected to arrive on Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. PT. This is because when we log in to the game and check out our Season 14 Battle Pass, the timer there suggests that Jan. 21 is the midway point of the season. Each Overwatch 2 season lasts for about two months as well. Additionally, from our own experience, patches typically arrive on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. PT.

When we log in to our Battle.net account and select Overwatch 2, we see some green text that reads, "Pre-release content downloaded." This further implies that mid-season patch is set to arrive soon.

In terms of the mid-season patch notes, we know that they feature a new 6v6 Open Queue playtest. Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller confirmed this in a post, adding that the current Overwatch 2 6v6 Role Queue game mode is available until the mid-season update.
"We're extending the 6v6 playtest due to continued player interest and excitement for the mode," Keller wrote. "Starting [Jan. 7,] the 6v6 card will move to the Arcade. It will be available until midseason, then transition to a 6v6 Open Queue format - Min 1, Max 3."
