Here’s what to expect when you enter the game.

Although some of today's updates were teased ahead of the season by Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller, the full Overwatch 2 Season 13 patch notes are now live. Read on for the hero updates and more!

Overwatch 2 Season 13 patch notes: Tank heroes

To kick off the season, Mauga received a buff to his Incendiary Chaingun. Meanwhile, Ramattra’s Pummel no longer pierces barriers. As for Reinhardt’s Barrier Field, it got nerfed — its health is now 1,500.

Overwatch 2 Season 13 patch notes: DPS heroes

Next, Hanzo received an increase in his base health, Sojourn got buffed, and Sombra received some major updates to her kit. For example, Stealth is no longer a passive.

Disruptor Shot- Damage per second increased from 60 to 80.
- Now generates 25% of damage done to enemy players as Railgun energy.
SombraHack- No longer ends Stealth but reveals Sombra.
- Hacked ability lockout effect duration reduced from 1.5 to 1.0 seconds.
- B.O.B hacked stun duration reduced from 10 to 3 seconds.
TranslocatorCooldown increased from 5 to 7 seconds.
EMPUltimate cost increased by 12%.
Stealth- No longer passive; now activates by using Translocator.
- Duration changed to 5 seconds.
- Added stealth timer around the reticle and removed ability icon.
- Taking damage now reveals Sombra for 1 second instead of ending stealth.
OpportunistThe Opportunist passive has been added back in, increasing Sombra's weapon damage versus hacked targets by 20% and allowing her to see critically injured enemies through walls.

Overwatch 2 Season 13 patch notes: Support heroes

As for the Support heroes, Baptiste, Brigitte, and Juno received updates. Notably, Juno Mediblaster got nerfed.

A bunch of maps got reworks in the new season as well. These include points in Circuit Royale, Dorado, Havana, and Numbani.

Circuit Royal1st Point- New exit options from attackers' initial spawn to reduce spawn camping.
- Initial high ground right flank brought in and access adjusted to reduce spawn camping.
- Cover options added.
- New far side flank option to contest defenders on the high ground by the bridge.
2nd Point- Improved spawn protections for attackers leaving the second spawn area to reduce spawn camping.
- Additional cover added while pushing high ground for attackers.
- New flank added for attackers to take rear high ground by the chicane.
- Hill lowered slightly and road angled forward for easier approach for attackers.
3rd Point- Improved options for attackers leaving the third spawn area to combat spawn camping.
- Flank route to high ground pool area widened and additional cover added to increase play options.
- Sightlines improved for attackers to poke at entrenched defender positions.
Dorado1st Point- Starting high ground cover and access adjusted to reduce spawn camping.
- Flank routes streamlined for attackers.
- Various geometry adjustments for better gameplay opportunities for attackers in the market area.
2nd Point- Staircase added for easier attacker access to the high ground.
- Added access to the courthouse for attackers.
3rd Point- Cover added after the chokepoint on the main path.
Havana1st Point- Reduced sightlines into the attackers' spawn.
- Added new options for attackers to exit their spawn.
- Reduced oppressive high ground vantage points for defenders.
2nd Point- Widened doorways and certain routes for cleaner navigation and flow.
- Closed small holes to block sightlines and projectiles.
3rd Point- Redesigned attackers' spawn interior and added routes for safer exits.
- Reduced sightlines from the fort wall to spawn and main route.
- Consolidated pathing into the fort for cleaner flow.
Numbani1st Point- Attackers' initial spawn room moved closer to first point to reduce runback times.
- Lowered some high ground around first point.
- Easier access to flank routes around first point.
- Combined paths in the building behind the payload on first point.
2nd Point- Forward defender spawn points added to reduce runback times for defenders.
- Staircase added near attackers' forward spawn for easier access to high ground.
- Added connecting path past and above the choke into the third point.
3rd Point- Relocated a sign.
- Removed a tree.

More Overwatch 2 October 15 patch notes

In terms of other updates, the game now has an interactive scoreboard that makes reporting faster, allows players to easily adjust the mic volume of others, and more. There are also some updates to matchmaking, hero swapping, the Streamer Protect feature, plus the location of challenges. All of these extra details can be found via Blizzard's official website.
