Overwatch 2 Roadhog rework
Blizzard has not officially revealed what will be in the pre-release content download yet. However, it's possible that it might involve changes to Roadhog. Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller hinted at this in a tweet earlier this month. He stated that Roadhog updates may happen in mid to late January.
"Today's balance patch is a bit lighter than usual because some of its planned changes were pulled forward to the mid December patch," Keller wrote on Twitter. "Also, a friendly reminder that the scheduled changes to Roadhog are not part of today’s patch and are slated for mid to late January."
Regular communications arriving soon
As players anticipate what's next for the game, they can also look forward to an improved communication strategy from the Overwatch 2 team. On Jan. 19, Overwatch 2 executive producer Jared Neuss said that there are plans for regular communication updates. These updates will either be on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Within the Twitter thread, Neuss also mentioned that Overwatch 2 Season 3 will address the current state of ultimate charges. Currently, players keep 30% of their ultimate charge when they switch to another character.
