Blizzard has announced the Overwatch 2 FlashOps Holiday Showdown. This is a tournament for players in the North America (NA), Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions. Read on to learn about the schedule, format, how to register, and more.
Overwatch 2 FlashOps Holiday Showdown NA and EMEA
The event features the Regional Qualifiers stage and the Flash Ops: Holiday Showdown Regional Finals with a prize pool of $50,000 USD. Interested teams from the NA and EMEA regions have until Nov. 9 at 11:59 p.m. PST to sign up for the event.

After registration closes, teams will duke it out under the Swiss Play tournament format over 10 rounds. This will be a first-to-three map win series. Then, eight teams from each region will head to their respective Flash Ops: Holiday Showdown Regional Finals and compete under the double-elimination finals bracket. The Grand Finals will be a first-to-four map win series, according to Blizzard.

As for APAC teams from Japan (JP), South Korea (KR), and Southeast Asia (SEA), they will battle in Open Regional Qualifiers, the Regional Knockouts, and the APAC Flash Ops Holiday Showdown Finals. Interested teams have until Nov. at 11:59 p.m. KST to register for the tournament.
After registration ends, Overwatch 2 teams will enter round-robin matches. Four teams from each group will then enter single-elimination brackets. The best team from each bracket will advance to the next stage.
"The Qualifiers format is subject to change based on the number of participating teams," Blizzard added.

As for the APAC Regional Knockouts, eight teams from the above Regional Qualifier tournaments will duke it out and get seeded into a double-elimination knockout bracket. These teams will compete in a first-to-three map win series.
