Overwatch 2 Mei's Snowball Offensive explained
Mei's Snowball Offensive is a limited-time game mode in Overwatch 2. You enter the fray in a group of five, and your goal is to eliminate the entire enemy team each round. The first team to win three rounds claims victory. Since this game mode is part of the Winter Wonderland 2025 event, you can earn progress toward event challenges and, therefore, gain some Winter Wonderland Cookies. These cookies can then be exchanged for in-game items, skins, loot boxes, and even Overwatch 2 Season 20 Battle Pass tier skips!

Overwatch 2 Mei's Snowball Offensive: How to win
Above are esports.gg's tips on how to claim victory in Mei's Snowball Offensive. To explain further, every player begins with one snowball the moment they spawn into the game. Therefore, remember to not waste it in the spawn room! Once you're out of spawn, it's time to begin your hunt. Search for enemy Mei players and left-click to one-shot them. To get another snowball, go up to a pile of snow and right-click to gather it up.

Doing this leaves you vulnerable to enemy Mei players who may already have a snowball in their arsenal. Therefore, pay attention to your surroundings and throw an Ice Wall up for extra protection. You can also use Ice Wall to protect your teammates.
You can tell if a teammate has a snowball or not based on the snowflake icon above their heads. If they have one, then they can one-shot an enemy. If they don't, then they're looking to reload.

Ice Wall can also be used to deny an enemy their reload. Just use it in front of them. While they're confused, you can be the one reloading instead. In terms of Mei's other ability, Cryo-Freeze, you can use it to bait out enemy snowballs. Don't forget to use the special Flurry ultimate in this game mode for infinite ammo.
Another useful Mei's Snowball Offensive tip we have is to sneak around. Do this by crouching to make your steps quieter. Otherwise, you're giving away your position freely. You can also do the old flanking strategy of sneaking behind enemy players while they're occupied with pressing W or what's in front of them. The classic strategy of having the high ground can work out pretty well, too.

That's all for now. We hope you enjoy all of the Winter Wonderland 2025 festivities. Stick around on esports.gg for more Overwatch 2 news, guides, and updates!
