Here’s what to expect in this co-op game mode!
Overwatch 2's Halloween Terror 2024 event is here! In addition to the new Junkenstein’s Laboratory game mode, the Wrath of the Bride and classic Junkenstein's Revenge game modes are playable. Read on for our guide on what to expect in Junkenstein's Revenge.
Overwatch 2 Junkenstein's Revenge explained
Junkenstein's Revenge is a co-op game mode that requires a team of four players. You can choose from Ashe, Cassidy, Genji, Hanzo, Soldier: 76, Torbjorn, Tracer, Widowmaker, Ana, Baptiste, Brigitte, and Zenyatta.
After assembling your team, you must defeat wave after wave of zombie omnics. However, survival is not the only goal. As time passes, your team must eliminate different bosses while protecting the castle gate.
Overwatch 2 Junkenstein's Revenge bosses
In order, the bosses you must face are The Reaper, Junkenstein's Monster, The Summoner, Dr. Junkenstein himself, and The Witch. After defeating one boss, the subsequent bosses can summon them as well.
Since the bosses are represented by Reaper, Roadhog, Symmetra, Junkrat, and Mercy, they also retain their hero abilities and ultimates. For example, you may hear Junkrat's RIP-Tire while Symmetra has her Photon Barrier up. Therefore, get past the barrier to take down the tire. Otherwise, the tire may deal damage to your teammates and castle gate.

As you continue your run, make good use of the map. For example, take advantage of high ground as Hanzo, place Torbjorn's turret in optimal spots, time your ultimates wisely, and protect your teammates whenever possible. Getting eliminated means waiting to be revived, and the higher difficulties are much less forgiving. If all four teammates are down, then it's game over.
Remember how bosses can summon past bosses? The final battle is against The Witch, but she's accompanied by others as well.
Your team must defeat Mercy and those other bosses in order to claim victory in Junkenstein's Revenge. In our case, we defeated Roadhog and Junkrat once more to end the game.
