Esports platform FACEIT has announced daily and weekly Overwatch 2 tournaments. The Overwatch 2 We Are So Back (WASB) Cups feature the FACEIT Elo and rating system and FACEIT points. Read on for everything to know about the Overwatch 2 WASB Cups, the FACEIT Elo system, and more.
Overwatch 2 WASB Cups explained
As of Feb. 15, The Overwatch 2 WASB Cups are available in the North America (NA), Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), South America (SA), and Oceania (OCE) regions. All of these daily and weekly tournaments can be found on FACEIT's official page for them. When you're there, you can assemble your team, check out the different prize pools, and more.
Overwatch 2 WASB schedule and format
In terms of the weekly Overwatch 2 WASB format, Stage 1 features the swiss one. Stage 2 is then played under the single-elimination format. The top four teams qualify each day. The daily formats also use the swiss and single-elimination ones.
Additionally, between Feb. 15 and Feb. 19, your Elo won't be affected in the Overwatch 2 WASB Cups.

Overwatch 2 gets FACEIT Elo system
When you connect your Battle.net account with your FACEIT one for the first time, you'll get your starting Elo. This ranges from 625 and 1,640. According to the announcement, FACEIT automatically retrieves "your best competitive role rank from your most recently completed season" on PC.
This Elo directly affects your official seeding in events such as the Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) Open Qualifiers. Elo also impacts your FACEIT Elo ranking, skill levels, Challenger rank, and future Path to Pro programs, the announcement explained.
What are FACEIT points?
FACEIT also has points that you can earn after completing missions. These points can be used in the FACEIT Shop for items such as Battle.net balance, esports merchandise, Steam wallet codes, and more. The first missions are linked to the weekly WASB Cups. According to the announcement, the FACEIT Shop will expand its Overwatch 2 prize inventory in the future.
