Overwatch 2 Flashpoint maps get speed boost

According to Overwatch 2 systems designer Gavin Winter in the recent director's blog, the game's Flashpoint game mode will have a speed boost in all of the spawn exits. Passing through these areas will grant players a temporary speed increase, helping them return to the action more quickly.

Overwatch 2 Flashpoint speed boost details

However, there are a few things to note about the Overwatch 2 Flashpoint speed boost. For one, dealing or taking damage will result in the removal of the buff. Next, the speed boost doesn't let you go over the increased movement speed cap of 75%.

"So if your hero has a speed boost effect, the sweatiest way to use it is to wait for the spawn door boost to wear off slightly first," Winter advised.

By enabling players to return to an area more quickly, this update will effectively allow them to spend more time fighting and less time walking.
