Blizzard fixed the infinite Gravitic Flux bug and responded to suspended players who exploited it.

Sigma has returned to Overwatch 2's competitive game mode. Here's what happened and what Blizzard said about the Sigma ultimate bug.

Sigma ultimate bug in Overwatch 2

The bug involved Sigma using his ultimate and flying around maps unrestricted. A user on the game's subreddit demonstrated this in a video. The user also explained how to activate the bug.

"Ult an enemy, but let the ult complete [itself] at zero seconds," the post explained. "Sigma will now do that because of the new patch. On your second ult[,] look directly up or off the side of the map and let the ult finish. You will now have infinite flight. You can test it in practice range."

Later, Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller acknowledged the gameplay bug on Twitter. According to Keller, the bug was caused by the game's recent patch. Therefore, the Overwatch 2 team locked Sigma out of competitive modes.

A community manager on the Blizzard Forums confirmed this Sigma ultimate bug as well.

"Hey everyone, while this bug is hilarious, we are going to be working to fix it as fast as possible," the post stated.

The post reiterated Sigma's ban from competitive play and noted the hero's availability in unranked and the Starwatch: Galactic Rescue arcade mode. It also advised players against deliberately triggering the bug.

As for players who activated the Sigma flying bug, they got suspended by Blizzard. However, Blizzard acknowledged in a post that not everyone did it with the intent to win matches.

"As a result, we’ve now reversed most of these actions, with only those who were deliberately attempting to win utilizing the bug remaining actioned," the post stated.

Overwatch 2 Kiriko teleport bug and more

In addition to the Sigma flying ultimate bug, Blizzard resolved the Doomfist and Ramattra blocking beam one. Keller added that his team is investigating Kiriko's teleport bug and her camera shake issue.
