Here’s a closer look at this legendary Genji skin in Overwatch 2 and Heroes of the Storm.
First introduced in the original Overwatch game, the Oni Genji skin is now available for Overwatch 2 players. Oni Genji was previously available for free as part of a Heroes of the Storm promotion.
Oni Genji skin returns in Overwatch 2
If you don't already have the Oni Genji skin in Overwatch 2 via the Heroes of the Storm event a few years ago, then you can now unlock it. However, instead of being a free skin that requires completing Heroes of the Storm matches, the Oni Genji skin requires you to make an eligible purchase of $75 USD or more from the Blizzard Gear Store.

How to unlock the Oni Genji skin in Overwatch 2
Genji's Oni skin is of the legendary rarity in Blizzard's hero shooter. Legendary skins are typically worth 1,900 Overwatch Coins or $19 USD each. To add this Genji cosmetic to your collection, you must make an eligible purchase of $75 USD or more from the Blizzard Gear Store between Sept. 2 at 9 a.m. PT. and Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. PT.
Another important thing to note is that the legendary Genji skin bonus is also only available to U.S. customers. This offer excludes shipping, handling, taxes, package protection, plus other charges not related to products, according to Blizzard.
It's fairly easy to total $75 USD or more while adding items to your cart. The Blizzard Gear Store features lots of Overwatch 2 loot, including a Shimada clan crewneck sweatshirt, Kiriko backpack, Ramattra bust statue, and more.
For Genji fans specifically, the Blizzard Gear Store has a Genji snapback hat plus a couple of t-shirts.
