How to pre-download Overwatch 2 Invasion
To pre-download Overwatch 2 Invasion, launch the Battle.net app on your PC and log in to your account. Next, select Overwatch 2 in the game bar located near the top of the launcher. Navigate to the bottom-left area and click on the gear icon located next to the "Play" button. Select "Check for Updates" and wait for the download to finish up.

- Press the gear icon next to the "Play" button"
- Click on "Check for Updates"
- Pre-download the Overwatch 2 Invasion content
Once the download is finished, the green text below the "Play" button should read, "Pre-release content downloaded."

Overwatch 2 Invasion takes place at the start of Overwatch 2 Season 6. It features PvE Story Missions that involve Null Sector and some of our beloved heroes. Everything to know about Overwatch 2 Season 6
In addition to the PvE Story Missions, the next season of Overwatch 2 boasts a brand-new hero, player progression system, New Junk City and Suravasa as the PvP Flashpoint maps, an Event Mission, and the new Hero Mastery mode. The Hero Mastery mode, in particular, is set to launch in September as opposed to Aug. 10.

"In order to deliver the best possible experience for the new Hero Mastery mode, we are postponing the launch of the mode to our Overwatch 2: Invasion mid-season update in September. Thank you for understanding," Blizzard stated in an update.
