The Dallas Fuel will be hosting an in-person Overwatch League match on July 9th at Esports Stadium Arlington. This will be the first live event in North America since the pandemic for Overwatch League Fans
As it seems we are turning the corner of the global pandemic, and the world is opening back up to a sense of normalcy, Overwatch League fans will have something to look forward to in July.
Mike ‘hastr0’ Rufail hinted at a potential comeback to in-person events on Twitter last week.
And today, we have more details from hastr0 regarding the first Overwatch League match with fans in attendance post-pandemic!
The event will take place at Esports Stadium Arlington on July 9th. The venue will be operating at 50% capacity and masks will be required for attendance.

While it’s not a full-on homestand, the Dallas Fuel will be in attendance for the ‘Battle of Texas’ against the Houston Outlaws. The Houston Outlaws will not be in attendance, citing timing issues with their game against the Boston Uprising the day before.
Fans will be able to enter early and watch the previous two matches before the Dallas Fuel takes the stage.
Tickets will be available through DallasFuel.com on Wednesday, June 16th at 11 AM to the general public. There is a pre-sale for EnvyUS Gold fans 24 hours before.
If all goes well, our hope is that this will open up more opportunities for Overwatch League fans to attend more in-person games, and have teams return to a LAN environment instead of playing online. If the response for the matches played in the East region were any indication, North American fans will be just as excited to see the action live and in person!
