FACEIT has announced ranked Overwatch 2 PUGs. Here’s how to get in this Competitive Overwatch 2 PUGs beta and more.
FACEIT, the esports platform that features the Overwatch Champion Series (OWCS) circuit, has announced ranked Overwatch 2 pick-up games (PUGs). Here's the latest on Overwatch 2 esports and Competitive Overwatch 2 PUGs in particular.
Competitive Overwatch 2 PUGs
On Feb. 27, the official FACEIT Overwatch account on X posted about Competitive Overwatch 2 PUGs. The post noted that these games involve five-versus-five (5v5) queues, hero bans, and map voting. A video accompanied the post, highlighting that these PUGS are part of a beta.
The mention of a Competitive Overwatch 2 FACEIT playtest is not new. FACEIT announced PUGs back in November 2024. Additionally, according to OWCavalry on X, FACEIT granted 200 players early access to a ranked queue earlier this month. Now, however, folks outside of that group have a chance to join the esports action.
How to join the Overwatch 2 PUGs beta
If you're interested in participating in the beta, then start by visiting FACEIT's dedicated website for it. Next, click on the "Join the beta waitlist" button and connect your FACEIT account with your Battle.net one. Simply press on the "Connect Blizzard" button to kick things off.

After following some simple prompts, press the "Allow" button and your accounts should be connected. A message that states, "You have successfully registered your game on FACEIT" should appear on the platform.
The next step is to wait for the next wave of beta invitations to open. According to FACEIT, your chance of getting into the beta increases if you invite more players to it with your unique link.
